Bayridge seriously began 10 years ago when I purchased my first boxer, a male named Rocko.  Rocko and I learned the show scene together and we did finish his Canadian Championship by the time he was 18 months old. My pervious show experience was years a go as a teenager, I bred and showed American Cocker Spaniels along side my mother.

I was hooked on showing!  This became a true hobby for me.

I loved showing, and learning about the Boxer breed.  I developed an interest in breeding.  Believing in health and temperament, I began looking long and hard for a great foundation bitch.  Madison came into our lives one year later.  It was with Madison that we produced our first litter at Bayridge.

Having owned a rescue harlequin Dane in the past, I yearned for another Dane,But this time I wanted a well bred Dane, and so that is how Banjo came into out lives. He joined us in February of 2000.  (Yes, I also have a husband who indulges me!)

Why Bayridge Station?  We moved to Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan, purchasing an old train station (the picture of the house on our home page).  I have always loved trains!  This seemed a natural for my theme for my website.

Who are we?  Bayridge is a small family raised, home based kennel that have a love for Boxers and Great Danes!  All of our dogs live indoors with us and are part of our family!  We don't have many litters, maybe 1-2 in a 2 year time period. We will stay in contact with all our puppy buyers and are there to answer any questions for the life of the dog.

We believe that temperament and health are our number one priority in the betterment of these two breeds.

Because we believe in health for our dogs, We feel reduced vaccines,or no vaccines at all will produce the healthiest pups. We also believe having a long lived pet starts with what the pup is eating and so we recommend only quality food for our pups. Temperament is also our Number 1 priority and we feel it starts in the whelping box. Our pups are socialized with my 6 children from Birth.

Many years of educating myself about Boxers and Danes, conformation and showing plus health of these breeds has paid off for Bayridge.
To Date (July 26th 2007) Bayridge has 22 Canadian Champions, 3 American Champions, 1 Brazilian champion(who has also taken a BIS in Brazil) #5 Boxer in Canada for 2006, 1 UKC Champion. Top Dam of the year for 2005 for Boxer Club Of Canada, Top Kennel in 2005 for Boxer Club of Canada, Multiple years being Top breeder of the year for the Regina Kennel and obedience club. 1 Multi BIS, 1 MultiBISS, I Multi BPISS and a couple MultiBPIS. This is for my Boxers. I have just started breeding danes, and have my first homebred Canadian Champion this year (2007).

November 2007
It is with a Heavy Heart that I announce that Bayridge will no longer be owning or breeding Great Danes.
Maybe in the future a male will come back to Bayridge for showing and as a companion, but right now we are taking a break -Owning this breed is not for the faint at heart. I owned and showed this breed for over 9 yrs, with many problems.....I could not see the good over the bad.

joining us in November is a Papillon. her name is Gigi. we look forward to having a small breed in the house
