Bayridge began 7 years ago when I purchased my first boxer, a male named Rocko.  Rocko and I learned the show scene together and we did finish his Canadian Championship by the time he was 18 months old.

I was hooked on showing!  This became a true hobby for me.

I loved showing, and learning about the Boxer breed.  I developed an interest in breeding.  Believing in health and temperament, I began looking long and hard for a great foundation bitch.  Madison and her sister Paige, came into our lives one year later.  It was with Madison that we produced our first litter at Bayridge.  Paige, unfortunately, has not been able to conceive.

Having owned a rescue harlequin Dane in the past, I yearned for another Dane,But this time I wanted a well bred Dane, and so that is how Banjo came into out lives. He joined us in February of 2000.  (Yes, I also have a husband who indulges me!)

Why Bayridge Station?  We moved to Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan, purchasing an old train station (the picture of the house on our home page).  I have always loved trains!  This seemed a natural for my theme for my website.

Who are we?  Bayridge is a small family raised, home based kennel that have a love for Boxers and Great Danes!  All of our dogs live indoors with us and are part of our family!  We don't have many litters, maybe 1-2 in a 2 year time period. We will stay in contact with all our puppy buyers and are there to answer any questions for the life of the dog.

Our number one Mentor to help us learn the ropes at conformation and breeding is Lisa Dias of Allyndane Great Danes.  She has shown us, and taught us all about shows, health and breeding.  If it was not for her, I don't know where I would be today, and for this...I owe her a great Big THANK YOU!

We believe that temperament and health are our number one priority in the betterment of these two breeds.

Because we believe in health for our dogs, we feed a natural diet.  Dogs are canines, and just like their wild cousins, they should be fed a species appropriate diet.  We also believe in reducing vaccines, using Titers to check immunity and natural remedies at the advice of a homeopath vet is the way to go.  Temperament starts in the whelping box, the pups are socialized with my children from Birth.

Our dogs are thriving on this and many times spectators at the shows or out in the park have commented on the looks, and vitality of our dogs.  Many judges in the show ring have also said "I cannot put my finger on it, but your dogs just glow".
